He is a biochemist and Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS), specialising in ageing biology, mitochondrial function, and oxidative stress. His research explores the molecular mechanisms of longevity and has been published in leading journals. His work often uses simple organisms such as tiny worms (C. elegans) to understand how ageing happens at the cellular level and test new ways to slow it down.

Dr. Vincenzo Sorrentino, PhD, completed his PhD in Medical Biochemistry at the University of Amsterdam before going on to study how metabolism and nutrition affect ageing.
