How it works

Your biological age test includes the following:

  • Easy-to-follow instructions
  • 1x saliva test kit
  • 1x pre-addressed return envelope
  • 1x biological age report — your results!

Note: We offer free pick-up for completed test kits in Singapore. Customers in other countries will need to arrange their own local postal or courier service to send the sample to the US.

What's in the kit

Ageing is cell damage. And you can now measure this damage.

Scientist have discovered 12 main reasons why our cells get damaged. These are called the 12 Hallmarks of Ageing. One of these Hallmarks is "epigenetic damage" and that's what's measured in this test.

This is how it works:

  • We will analyse your epigenetics: a layer of “buttons” on top of your DNA.
  • As you age, these “buttons” start to move, damageing your epigenetic layer.
  • TruMe Labs in California analyses your saliva sample to measure this damage.
  • We can then calculate your biological age by comparing your damage to your peers.

How to use

Reveal your true biological age in 4 easy steps:

  1. Order your test
  2. Collect your saliva sample
  3. Send your sample back to us in Singapore or directly to the US lab
  4. Get your results within 1-2 weeks after the lab receives your sample

Then, start optimising your health and track your progress.

Our biological age test is designed to the highest standards. It’s a simple, non-invasive saliva test that’s cost-effective and easy to do at home. We prioritize your privacy with 100% data protection—your sample is destroyed, and your data is never shared.

What is biological age?

Your biological age reflects cellular wear-and-tear and lifestyle factors—it’s different from the number of birthdays you’ve had. The Clock estimates it using DNA methylation measured from a saliva sample.

How do you determine my biological age?

Long answer, short

The Clock is a straightforward, saliva-based epigenetic test that estimates your biological age by analysing DNA methylation. These are tiny chemical tags that act like on/off dimmers for genes and naturally shift with age and lifestyle. We read those signals in your saliva and compare them with large reference datasets to show how your body is ageing relative to peers—simply, reliably, and without a blood draw.

If you want a clear, cost-effective read on biological age you can track over time, you’re in the right place.

Short answer, long

Your sample is analysed for DNA methylation at selected CpG sites (short DNA regions that influence gene activity). Methylation patterns change predictably with age and are the basis of research-grade “epigenetic clocks.”

In the lab, we use bisulfite conversion—a gold-standard method that converts unmethylated cytosines while leaving methylated ones unchanged—followed by targeted sequencing across a small panel of nine genomic regions. The resulting methylation profile is fed into an algorithm trained on age-labelled data to generate your biological age estimate and comparison to your chronological age.

What this means for you: it’s non-invasive, grounded in peer-reviewed methodology, and designed to help you measure a baseline, make changes, and re-test to track progress.

Please note

  • This is an estimate of biological age; it is not a medical diagnosis or whole-genome test.
  • We do not sequence your entire genome and we do not provide raw sequencing data in the report.
  • Once analysis is complete, your biological material and DNA data are deleted according to our data-retention policy.

What will my report include?

Your report includes your estimated biological age, how it compares to your chronological age, and guidance to help you improve lifestyle factors that influence ageing—plus tips on when to re-test to track change.

Do I need to pay to ship my sample to the lab?

In Singapore, we offer free pickup for completed test kits. Other regions may require local postage to return your sample to a US address. In any case, we’ll send you clear instructions based on your location. If you have any questions, just drop us a line at [email protected].

How long does it take to get my results?

You can expect results within 1 to 2 weeks after our US partner lab receives your sample and questionnaire. While delays are rare, we’ll always keep you in the loop and ensure you’re satisfied with our service.
